Several new pharmacy services have emerged to make it easier to take the worry out of your medication schedule.
DailyMed transfers your prescriptions, over-the-counter medications and vitamins, and organizes them into pre-sorted packets clearly marked with the date and time they should be taken. Your entire 30-day supply is delivered to your home in a convenient dispensing box. A similar service, OnePAC offers the same customized pill packets via mail-order or your local pharmacy.
The cost ranges from $10-$20 a month and is generally accepted by most prescription insurance plans, as well as the new Medicare Part D program. Additionally, some insurance plans and/or healthcare spending accounts may cover the monthly cost.
